INTURB

INTURB, the INformation database of combustion TURBine engines, is the most up-to-date, comprehensive database on installed CTs available today. INTURB is designed to aid communication between CT operations and maintenance (O&M) personnel throughout the world. The user of the database can determine what companies and sites are operating certain models of engines and, in many cases, obtain contact information for the site and the company's fleet. INTURB provides status data on models and makes, site names and locations, number of engines per site, power, and NOx control-along with names, titles, addresses, and phone numbers of pertinent plant and company personnel.

INTURB is currently offered as a service at no cost to owners and operators of gas turbine-based plants. Users are invited to submit requests for searches based on multiple criteria. Users may review INTURB data and submit updates for their plants, particularly for newer installations. EPRI personally screens each INTURB registrant to exclude vendors and to avoid generating mass sales email campaigns.

Since its inception, INTURB has met a critical need for power producers. Confronted with a model-specific reliability concern, CT owners and operators can benefit from contacting a peer who is managing a plant with the same technology and operating history in order to find answers to a common problem or to exchange spares. Finding that peer, however, is difficult. CT original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) upgrade series and model designs every few years. The recent major expansion of CTs, particularly in combined-cycle configuration, for both traditional and newer commercial power producers, requires expanding and updating once familiar contacts lists. In addition, plant assets continue to be bought and sold, and there is ongoing turnover in key maintenance personnel. The CT OEM is not particularly interested in facilitating plant-to-plant contacts for its own business reasons.

Please contact Dale Grace (DGrace@epri.com) to request your search for plants and/or contacts within the database, or update information on your company's plants. Please include "INTURB request" in the e-mail subject line.

The CT Vendor Directory includes equipment vendor listings of interest to owners and operators of combustion turbine and combined-cycle equipment. Please contact Dale Grace (DGrace@epri.com) to request your search. Please include "CT Vendor Directory request" in the e-mail subject line.
